Building began on the headquarters of the Regional Canarian Government in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in 1993.
It was designed by Felipe Artengo Rufino, Fernando Martin Menis and Jose Maria Rodriguez-Pastrana, all architects from Tenerife.
The use of volcanic materials, stone, metal and wood have resulted in a beautiful building. In the courtyard, which is accessible to the public, there is a splendid authentic Canarian balcony made of carved wood.
This balcony was retrieved from an old stately home on the island and adds a great finishing touch to the building as a whole.
