The creation of this theme-based museum can be justified by the importante of Castro de Viladonga, due to the quantity and quality of archaeological remains and the need to exhibit them in surrounding wall of a late Galician-Roman settlement, it shows numerous objects from everyday life an this town, from more than archaeological excavations carried out at the find which brought to light a large number of items (weapons, games, farming tools, ceramic, decorative objects, etc).
Models are a fundamental part of the museum’s educational purpose, making it a must-see visit on any trip to Castro de Viladonga.

Normal: 2'40€.
Reduced entry: 1’20€.
Free entry: Saturday evenings an all day Sunday for the general public. Every day: children, persons over 65; pensioners, cultural and educational organizations: members of the Association of Friends of Castro de Viladonga Museum, cultural or educational voluntary workers and member of “Proxecto Home”. 50% reduction for youth and student card holders. Visits to the old celtic settlement are free every day during daytime.
